Chelsea’s pursuit of attacking reinforcements continues as they target another player on Arsenal’s wishlist.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea remains keen on Victor Osimhen despite the Nigerian striker’s firm stance on his salary and loan conditions.

This latest update intensifies the battle for Osimhen, who also draws interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

Arsenal, having recently lost out on Pedro Neto to Chelsea, is still determined to bolster their attack. The Gunners are eyeing Osimhen as a prime candidate to lead their front line.

Arsenal’s strikers, Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, struggled with consistency last season, which shows why Arsenal needs a reliable 20+ goal scorer.

Osimhen’s current contract with Napoli includes a hefty £113 million release clause. While this hasn’t deterred other clubs, it has set a high bar for any potential suitors.

Chelsea’s interest remains conditional on Osimhen’s willingness to adjust his salary demands or accept different deal terms.

CS opinion

Last season, we struggled with inconsistent strikers, which cost us in some vital games. Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah didn’t deliver the reliability we needed in front of goal.

We must prioritize signing a proven striker to make the squad stronger. The arrival of a dependable goal-scorer could significantly boost our performance.

We shouldn’t delay making a decisive move, especially with notable targets like Viktor Gyökeres, Alexander Isak, Victor Osimhen, and Ivan Toney on the market.

We must act quickly to avoid losing out to Chelsea or any other rivals looking to snatch our targets.
