Atlanta United have been left frustrated after Crystal Palace striker Odsonne Edouard rejected a move to the MLS outfit.
The 27-year-old forward, currently on loan at Leicester City, turned down a £15m offer from the Major League Soccer club, opting to remain in England, according to Inside Futbol.
Edouard joined Crystal Palace from Celtic in 2021 and has made 103 appearances for the Eagles.
However, his time with Leicester has been less than impressive, with only six Premier League appearances this season.
Despite his limited involvement at Leicester, Crystal Palace remains open to selling the forward, who has a contract running until 2026.
The MLS side saw potential in Edouard, believing he could bring experience and skill to their squad.
However, Edouard’s decision to reject their offer has forced Atlanta United to reconsider their search for a forward.
FIFA regulations prevent Edouard from playing for a third European club this season, as players are only allowed to feature for two clubs in a year.
This ruling leaves Edouard’s future uncertain, as he will continue his loan with Leicester until the end of the season unless a move presents itself.

What next for Atlanta United
While Atlanta United will now look elsewhere for a striker, they recently bolstered their forward line with the signing of Cayman Togashi.
The 31-year-old brings 10 years of professional experience from Japan and joins the club on a free transfer through the 2025 MLS season, with an option for 2026.
Togashi most recently played for Sagan Tosu in the Japanese top flight and will occupy a supplemental roster spot as a domestic player.
Togashi’s signing adds depth to Atlanta’s forward ranks, an area the club has been keen to strengthen.
“Cayman is a forward that our scouts have been following over the past few months,” said Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director Chris Henderson. “He’ll bring experience and goalscoring ability to our squad as we aim to compete across multiple competitions.”
Togashi’s experience and goalscoring ability will complement the attacking options of Ashton Gordon, Jamal Thiaré, Edwin Mosquera, and Xande Silva, creating a dynamic and well-rounded forward unit for Atlanta United.
