Arsenal are keen on securing the signature of one French midfielder.
That’s according to Tuttojuve, who reports that Arsenal is among the several clubs showing strong interest in signing the midfielder.
Many view this as a strategic move by the Gunners to bolster their midfield options ahead of the new season since he is currently a free agent after his contract with Juventus expired.
Arsenal’s midfield needs
Arsenal’s interest in Adrien Rabiot stems from their need to strengthen their midfield because of the uncertainties surrounding Thomas Partey’s future, who is allegedly on his way to Saudi Arabia.
Rabiot’s flexibility and experience make him a valuable squad depth option for Arsenal, who will compete on various fronts, including the UEFA Champions League next season.

Competition from other clubs
While Arsenal is in pole position to sign Rabiot, they face competition from other Premier League clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United.
Liverpool are also in the market for a midfielder following Thiago Alcantara’s retirement.
Manchester United are looking to reinforce their midfield because of doubts regarding the future of Casemiro, Scott Mctominay, and Christian Eriksen.
His career and form
Adrien Rabiot, 29, has had an illustrious career, having played for top clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
During his time at Juventus, Rabiot made over 200 appearances, making 37 goal contributions.
Even though Juventus were having a difficult time, his performances were consistent, which made him a regular member of the French national team.
As reported by Sport Witness, Rabiot’s agent and mother, Veronique Rabiot, has been in talks with several clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United.
She suggestively gave it that Rabiot is keen on joining a club that will consistently compete in the Champions League, which gives Arsenal an edge considering their recent form.
Though Rabiot is a little bit old, it will be interesting to see if Arsenal can fend off competition and seal the deal before the transfer window closes.
