This summer, Arsenal has been active in the transfer market, making crucial moves to strengthen the squad.

David Raya has joined from Brentford on a permanent deal following his loan last season, and Riccardo Calafiori has arrived from Bologna, signings that are expected to imporve the squad as the Gunners prepare for a challenging season.

Meanwhile, Arsenal has also made some notable sales, including Emile Smith Rowe, who has been impressive for Fulham in his recent appearances.

Now, according to Football Insider, Arsenal is keen on securing a quality backup for Bukayo Saka after missing out on Pedro Neto, who’s headed to Chelsea.

Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman has emerged as a strong candidate. Bayern recently signed Michael Olise from Crystal Palace, who is expected to take over the right-wing position. Olise’s arrival has opened the door for Coman to leave the club.

Bayern Munich prefers a loan deal for Coman, with an option to buy included. The French winger is keen on joining Arsenal but seeks assurances of regular playing time at the Emirates.

Coman is known for his blistering pace and ability to play on both flanks—qualities that would be a major asset for Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Competition for Coman’s signature

Arsenal are not the only team in the race for Coman, though. Reports suggest that Manchester City and Barcelona have closely monitored the French international as Bayern looks to offload players before making new signings.

Also, the Saudi newspaper Al Yaum reports that Al-Ahli has expressed interest in signing Coman after losing Allan Saint-Maximin to Fenerbahce on loan.

Coman’s versatility could be crucial for our title ambitions. His experience and ability to stretch defenses on either flank would significantly enhance our attacking options.

If Edu can secure this deal, we will have the depth needed on the flanks to mount a serious challenge against Manchester City and other Premier League top teams.
