Arsenal appear to have beaten Celtic and Rangers in the race for Callan Hamill, the 15-year-old Scottish star currently with St Johnstone.
The Athletic reports that Hamill has chosen to join Arsenal over the Scottish giants.
Hamill spent time with Arsenal over the summer on a trial that was initially expected to last just a week but extended to a month.
He played in an Arsenal academy friendly against St. Albans during his trial in early July. He then featured for the Arsenal U18s in a 5-2 win over Brentford and appeared in another U18 game against Paderborn later in the month.
Hamill’s impressive performances have caught the attention of many top clubs. His versatility and skill have made him a standout talent.
Arsenal fans are eager to see him develop further as he officially joins the Premier League club when he turns 16 next year.
Both Celtic and Rangers had shown strong interest in signing Hamill, but he has set his sights on a move to Arsenal.

St Johnstone will retain him for the upcoming season, with the transfer expected to be completed next summer.
This move is significant for Arsenal, who have been focusing on domestic talent due to Brexit regulations limiting English clubs’ ability to sign under-18 players from abroad.
St Johnstone will receive approximately €130,000 in compensation for Hamill’s move.
The addition of Callan Hamill promises to enhance the club’s future prospects significantly.
His arrival at the Premier League club signals a new chapter in his burgeoning career.
The future looks bright for both the player and the club.
